Welcome!
We are proud to introduce an exciting new addition to our website, a private and secure Auction Site. It's been a little over a year since we first offered special projects on eBay, which was successful on many levels. We are thankful for the market that eBay was able to provide us. Our experience with eBay was very positive; feel free to look up our feedback history.

Recently there was a fraudulent listing for a custom Kramer knife that I knew the owner was not selling. In an effort to do everything we can to insure your faith in this process and your confidence in our product, we will be hosting our own auctions from now on. Our goal as always is to maximize customer satisfaction. Every auction knife will come with a certificate of authenticity and warranty. This format will allow us more control over the entire process and hopefully give you peace of mind that you are buying an original directly from our workshop. If you see a listing on eBay, please be aware that it is not being sold by us. To
be clear, the Kramer Knives private auctions do not replace the lottery. Specialty items will be auctioned at Auction.KramerKnives.com. The 'email list' will be notified of the date, time and duration of each auction. To participate in an auction, you must register to become a member on our secure site. Click here for step-by-step instructions. Email us if you have questions. Our
Auction Site uses a simple, traditional listing format with automatic
bidding. It is very similar to eBay. To learn about bidding, click
here.
How to Register >
Click
here to register.
Address Verification Service In order to eliminate the potential for false bidding practices, our auction software uses Address Verification Service (AVS) to confirm that each user is a verifiable bidder to whom we can match the name, address and credit card. In order to pass the AVS verification, the format of your street address and zip code must match your bank. Each time you click register, the AVS charges the card provided a small amount between $1.00 and $2.00. No funds are actually collected. This is for authorization purposes only. The charge will be visible on your bank statement for approximately 24 hours and then it will be removed. See the site use terms. The provided information is confidential and secure. This is to ensure that participation in our auctions is as transparent and fair as possible for all parties involved.
Help/FAQs Visit the Help page, which is to assist users of our auction site. You will find step-by-step instructions and answers to commonly asked questions.

From the Modern Marvels Built By Hand series that aired on Monday, October 10th, 2011 on the History 2 Channel. Bob made two similar knives for the filming: one was completed before the shooting began, and the other was finished during the shooting (see knife below). The steel is a combination of 1080, 15n20 and 52100, hardened and tempered to 61 HRC. A special thanks the participants -- we were able to donate $1,610 to Infinity Culinary Training in Cape Town, South Africa (a non-profit organization that's dedicated to changing lives through cooking). _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is a brand new mosaic pattern, never attempted before, made of a blend of high performance tool steels, hardened and tempered to 61 HRC. The Scorpius pattern took 3 days of work to create the steel alone. This process is very labor and material intensive, involving stacking, forge welding, grinding, re-stacking and so on. A note about Mosaic. Thanks to those who participated, we were able to donate $5,120 to Heifer International. Buyer's Feedback: "Please let Bob know the knives and display box are fantastic! Thank you very much." - LL

This is a brand new pattern, never attempted before. It's made of a mixture of 52100, 15n20 and 01 tool steels, hardened and tempered to 61 HRC. The psychedelic pattern took 14 hours of work to create the steel alone. We weren't sure what the final result would look like, but we're very pleased with the results. The handle and sheath were cut from the same board of Rosewood from Central America. Thanks to the buyer, we were able to donate 10% of the profits to Habitat for Humanity. Buyer's Feedback: "It's by far the sharpest tool that I've ever used, and it reminds me more of a straight razor than a chef knife. Cutting tomatoes is amazingly easy, and chopping and dicing is very fun for a change. I love the pattern of the steel, and I can actually make out the image of a face when I look at it closely. It really is a piece of art. Thanks for everything." -CM

This is the second mosaic Damascus piece that Bob has created to-date with this pattern and is a bit more complex than the previous, as the main body of the blade is the Shockwave pattern with an edge wrap of the Explosion pattern. There are about three days of work involved in creating the steel alone. The blade was hardened and tempered to 61-62 HRC Rockwell and is a mixture of 01 and 15n20 tool steels. The Maple Burl handle, which has been dyed a beautiful deep red and stabilized for strength and longevity, is accompanied by an Ebony spacer. 10% of the final price went to Heifer.org. Buyer's Feedback: "I am so very happy that I won this beautiful knife. Many thanks to everyone. I will take very good care of this special knife." - MW _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
