Donations

We feel that giving back to the community and helping others is a priority.

Because of this, for every item we auction off on our site we will be donating 10% to charity.

Below is a list of the charities that we like to support. Click on each logo to view their website and learn more.

Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Their mission is "to feed America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger."

This is a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to changing lives through cooking. Their purpose is to train South African men and women from impoverished communities and enable them to get jobs in restaurants.

ICT is truly helping people in need. The program includes 8 weeks in a kitchen/classroom setting learning cooking, life and professional skills, and 4 weeks working in a commercial kitchen as an intern. According to their website, “what goes on in the classroom is not just school, but the work of building awareness, confidence and the personal skills necessary to lead a productive, dignified and sustainable life.” After the course, ICT continues to help graduates with job placement. The students cannot afford tuition, so the program is scholarship based. One student can complete the course for $1,500 USD. To learn more about this non-profit organization, visit their website.

Heifer's mission is "to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth."

Through this nonprofit, families in need receive livestock and training to improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. In exchange, the receiving families agree to give one of its animal's offspring to another family in need. Heifer's strategy is to "Pass on the Gift."

Habitat International seeks
"to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action."

This organization is "dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide
to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice."

This nonprofit organization provides loans*, training, and other assistance to entrepreneurs worldwide.
The recipients are making strides toward economic independence, while improving life for themselves, their family, and their community.

Although Kiva is not specifically considered a donation, when these loans get paid off, we continually re-lend to businesses. At the end of the lending process, we will donate to Kiva's administer.
